The Old Man of Storr
Painted from field sketches and photographs, with an almost ‘Contre Jour’ sillhouette.
System3 acrylic on 30cm square box canvas.
The Storr is prime example of the Trotternish landslip, on the Isle of Skye, the longest such feature in the British Isles.
The pinnacle, about 1000ft above sea level, The Old Man of Storr is a huge basalt column around 165 feet in height.
